Since the 1990s, Austrian community stations have been working on freely accessible online archives. Community radio stations envisioned early on that making broadcasts available on the internet, beyond terrestrial transmission and independent of time and place would vastly expand listener reach.
Thus, the Community Radio Library contains an extensive variety of contributions to cultural, social and political events in Austria over the last 20 years.
